What are you doing to prepare for Christmas this year?  One of the things I am doing is learning new photography techniques.  I am learning about bokah, which is the applying of shapes in a filter over the lense to get special effects.  Here is one I tried at the end of Christmas...

 I cut a star shape in the center of a black circle, taped it onto my camera lens, then blurred the image until I got the star shape.  I can't wait to try it with my tree next year!
