I love to participate in Christmasy Events and this one is after our hearts: Christmas Movies! Welcome to 25 Christmas Movies Crafts and Recipes! Each blogger that participates has a movie to base their post from. Mine was Santa Paws!
A synopsis: An all-new Disney holiday classic is born - Santa Paws 2: The Santa Pups. Starring a brand-new litter of the cutest talking pups ever - Hope, Jingle, Charity, and Noble - it's perfect for the whole family. When Mrs. Claus travels to Pineville, the playful Santa Pups stow away on her sled. Taking mischief to a whole new level, they begin granting joyful wishes to Pineville's boys and girls, but something goes terribly wrong - the Christmas spirit begins to disappear. Now the Santa Pups and Mrs. Claus must race to save Christmas around the world. From the creators of Disney Buddies, this magical, heartwarming tale is brimming with hope, cheer, and Christmas spirit.
The movie didn't get a lot of positive press, however, kids love it and the pups are adorable! Speaking of adorable pups, please meet my two dogsons: Truman and Wilson! Truman is a nine-pound Cavachon and Wilson is a 28 pound Westie. They are best buds and get along very well. They share toys but Truman is protective of his food!
Both of these boys love this "raw cookie dough" treat that we like to give them to encourage their eating. We keep it in the refrigerator and add it to their food bowl when we feed them dinner.
Cookie Dough Dog Treats
1 cup packed pumpkin
1/2 peanut butter
2 cups oatmeal
1 t salt
1/2 t cinnamon
Mix all ingredients together. Store in the refrigerator. Scoop 1 T of "dough" and add it to the top of the dog food.
I have given this as gifts to my friends, I just add the mix to a Rubbermaid container and tie a spoon on top. Add a cute tag with the recipe and how to serve it and it is good to give!
I'm also giving you a round up of ten wonderful dog treats! These make great gifts for your canine friends, too!
